The owners of private jet firms throughout the country are highly confident that many businesses will find it more efficient to fly privately, without the exposure to large numbers of travelers and fellow passengers in larger aircraft. Sales of business jets will likely increase in the coming months as demand for their services rises from corporate and leisure travelers. The costs for commercial flights are expected to increase, while the number of available flights may take some time to return to pre-COVID-19 levels – if ever.

This regulation could enable some buyers to purchase an aircraft in 2020, take an income loss through 100 percent bonus depreciation, and receive a refund on taxes paid for income for years dating back to 2015.
